Post 96 Receives Impact Award

Dear Commander Allen Boyce,

I hope you are doing well.

I wanted to take a moment to again congratulate you and everyone with Reese-Hyman Post 96 American Legion on being recognized during the Warren County Chamber of Commerce Annual Awards Banquet as the recipient of the 2025 Community Impact Award.

This recognition was very well deserved. Your Post has continued to demonstrate what meaningful community service looks like through your commitment to veterans, patriotism, remembrance, education, and civic engagement. From honoring the fallen and supporting veterans, to investing in programs that teach respect for our flag and our country, Reese-Hyman Post 96 continues to make a lasting impact here in Warren County.

It was especially meaningful to highlight the many ways your Post serves our community, including Memorial Day flag placement on veterans’ graves, support for Boys State and Girls State, recognition of first responders, flag retirement ceremonies, flag etiquette education, Poppy Day remembrance, outreach to veterans, and your ongoing efforts to preserve and strengthen Warrenton. Your organization represents service in action, and it was an honor for us to recognize that publicly.

I also wanted to personally thank you for your leadership. Strong local organizations do not continue to make a difference without dedicated people willing to step up, lead, and serve, and that certainly shows in the work of Post 96.

I know you mentioned sharing this recognition with headquarters, and I wanted to provide a few words you could forward along if helpful. We are proud to have organizations like Reese-Hyman Post 96 as part of our community, and we were honored to celebrate your contributions during this year’s banquet.

Thank you again for your service, your leadership, and your continued commitment to Warren County.

Sincerely,
